Skin as the seasons change

A medical facial

Spring and autumn are the seasons when skin is complained about most. Dryness, shine, a new spot of acne or a sudden increase in sensitivity can appear in the same week. The cause is often not one cream, but changing weather and products stacked on top of each other.

A medical facial, in that picture, is planned as a more controlled reset than what is done at home. The same protocol is not applied to every skin.

When the barrier is tired, every product stings

Frequent washing, an alcohol-based toner and several acids on the same night can thin the barrier. When the skin reddens, pigmentation and acne can become more stubborn too.

Before starting a new series, bringing the products you use is enough. Taking something away can be more right than adding something.

Clinic care is separate from the home routine

Peeling, moisture support or pore cleaning is chosen for the skin that day. If there is active acne, a wound or a fresh mark, the treatment can be postponed.

The time given for sun and makeup afterwards differs from person to person. Hard exercise or the hammam the same day can increase irritation.

A change of season is a signal, not an excuse

A rash that flares in the same month every year can be a sign of rosacea or seborrhoeic dermatitis. Examination may be needed instead of booking a facial.

The aim is not to change the skin overnight. It moves step by step toward skin that is calmer and easier to predict.

This article is general information. A personal plan is decided after examination.
