When hair thins, the first question is usually which product works. The better question is why the hair is thinning. Genetics, iron deficiency, the thyroid, the period after birth, hair pulled tight, and some medicines can leave a similar picture.
A treatment done before the cause is found can give a temporary sense of relief and postpone the real issue.
The type of shedding is separated first
A widening at the crown, a receding temple, diffuse thinning and patchy loss are not the same picture. Hair left in the hand does not always mean disease. Seasonal shedding and ongoing thinning are separated at examination.
A blood test is requested if needed. If a value is low, that is addressed first.
Mesotherapy is not the first step for every thinning
Hair mesotherapy is a supportive treatment applied to the scalp. In a suitable person it can be part of the plan. It does not give the same result in every kind of shedding, or at every session.
How many sessions are needed is discussed according to the hair. If you use a lotion or a supplement at home, saying so prevents a clash.
The expectation needs to be clear from the start
The aim is often to slow shedding and support the hair that is there. It is not right to say that a closed patch will return to what it was.
The scalp can be tender afterwards. The pause given for shampoo and combing is explained at the session.
This article is general information. A personal plan is decided after examination.
